Matt got out the rabbit ears and we've been watching the coverage of the Olympics. All of us have been staying up way too late for the last two weeks. It'll be nice to get back into a normal routine again--whatever that is--I'm not sure that even exists anymore. We've been muting most of the commercials that come on during the Olympics. Even so, I'm pretty sure I could recite the Chevy commercials by heart. Jude asked for "a five buck lunch" today.
The Lego movie commercials have spawned a resurgence in Lego play around here. The kids joined me last week in a Mistress of the Domain project for my Five Aspects of Woman Bible study. They organized all of the Legos that my brother Jake gave them by color. How long will it last? Take a guess.
Matt and Paul went on a winter camp out with the Boy Scouts last weekend. Paul (along with many of the other scouts) opted not to sleep in his snow cave. He slept in the car instead. Despite the nearly constant falling snow, Paul did well on the camp out. He was the grub master for his little group again. This time there were no complaints about the food he prepared. Paul and I chose more processed foods when we shopped for this camp out, which went over with the boys much better :( Other troops also participated in the camp out, competing in different winter challenges. Paul's patrol won the competition, as well as the award for the best kept camp spot. Paul came home happy, Matt came home with the above mentioned cold.
