Joel has learned to write his name and he really likes to write it--on everything. We have a longstanding rule in this house: "Paper ONLY." Over the years, all of our kids have repeatedly heard this little phrase. Until Joel, we never had a child who after several run ins with the "paper only" rule didn't mend his or her ways. I'm still discovering Joel's John Hancock in different places around the house, even though previous infractions have been met with discipline. He's one bull-headed little cowboy. Maybe he's just practicing his autograph for the day he becomes the next Gene Autry.
